IMPORTANT INFORMATION
-
How do I prepare for a trip to the farm?1. Dress for the weather. When the sun is out, bring water, sun hats, etc. to keep cool and protected. When it is raining or has recently rained, the fields are usually muddy and it is best to bring boots and be ready to get a little muddy. It is also a good idea to bring gloves. 2. Be prepared to walk. Some produce areas require walking 1/4 mile or so from the entrance. You are welcome to bring your carts or wagons to tote your kids or produce around. "Off-road" strollers are also recommended for young kids. Remember the farm fields are uneven so strollers with small wheels do not push around easily. 3. Remember to bring water and snacks. We have some picnic tables and sitting areas available.
-
Do I need to bring containers to pick into?We provide buckets, boxes and bags for picking into and taking home. Shovels are available for digging potatoes, garlic and carrots. We also have some clippers available for cutting or trimming produce. Your are welcome to bring your own buckets, bags or baskets, and harvesting tools. Many families like to bring their own cart or wagon to tote kids and produce around the farm.
-
Can I bring my dog?Sorry, pets are not allowed on the farm because they are not allowed in the fields.
-
Are you organic? We use conventional and organic products and practices. We use conventional products minimally, never once harvesting has started, and focus on healthy soil to support healthy plants that are better able to defend against disease and pests. We spread tons of compost every year, use cover crops and practice crop rotation to suppress weeds and disease naturally. If you would like more information or have specific crop questions, feel free to email us at baileyveg@gmail.com
-
Is there an entrance fee?We do not have an entrance fee on our farm. You simply pay for the produce you pick.
-
Do you take credit cards?Yes! We accept credit cards, cash, checks and apple pay.
-
What are your prices?Prices are based on the weight of the produce. Please see our "prices" link for current u-pick pricing.
